Beijing, August 25 (KCNA) -- Chinese Vice-President Xi Jinping called for bringing into full play the great spirit displayed during the past earthquake rescue work.

During his inspection tour of Sichuan Province from August 19 to 22, Xi said party organizations at all levels and cadres affiliated with the party in the province should deeply study President Hu Jintao's July 1 important speech and improve the mode of economic growth.

They should also strengthen the social management and promote the socio-economic development in the province to make a fresh progress in the period of the 12th five-year plan, he added.
