More Radioactive Substances Detected in Japan

Pyongyang, August 24 (KCNA) -- More radioactive substances are being detected as consequences of the accident at the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant of Japan.

Radioactive cesium, which is measured 2,200 becquerels of cesium per kilogram, at a level over four times the government-set safety limit has been detected in the meat of a wild boar captured in Kakuda city, Miyagi Prefecture, the prefectural government said Friday.

A small amount of radioactive cesium has been detected in rice that was grown in the city of Hokota, Ibaraki Prefecture, the Ibaraki prefectural government said Friday.
