Deaths Caused by Influenza, Cholera Increase in Cambodia, Dominica

Pyongyang, August 24 (KCNA) -- A 6-year-old girl from Kampong Cham province of Cambodia was confirmed died from the case of human infection with avian influenza A (H5N1) virus, the Ministry of Health said on Saturday.

All eight cases of H5N1 infections in humans in Cambodia this year have been fatal.

Casualties caused by cholera are expanding in Dominica.

The number of deaths caused by cholera in the Dominican Republic has increased to 109, and there are 15 876 suspect cases, the Public Health Ministry said on Friday.
