Pyongyang, August 24 (KCNA) -- Foreign newspapers specially edited photos of General Secretary Kim Jong Il and articles on the 51st anniversary of his start of Songun revolutionary leadership.

The Russian newspaper Patriot No. 31 said that it was very just for Kim Jong Il to start the Songun revolutionary leadership, adding that the Korean People's Army has creditably performed its mission and role as defender of the country and a driving force for socialist construction.

The Cambodian newspaper Pracheachon on August 17 noted in its article that more than five decades since his start of the Songun revolutionary leadership are a history in which he has led the army and the people of the DPRK to victory.

The Mexican newspaper Unidad Nacional on August 15 said that the international position and authority of the DPRK have remarkably risen under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il.

A Lao newspaper on August 17 gave a detailed account of the fact that the single-minded unity of the country has been consolidated in every way and astonishing miracles and innovations have been brought about in all fields including the economic construction under his Songun leadership.
