Pyongyang, August 23 (KCNA) -- The Foreign Ministry of the Palestinian National Authority in a statement on August 19 decried the ongoing Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army has recently expanded military attack on the Gaza Strip and killed more innocent civilians. The statement labeled it a blatant violation of international law and norms.

It also said Israel's preplanned attacks were meant to undermine the Palestinian plan to get a statehood recognition from the United Nations in September.

It called upon the international community to take an immediate step to check Israeli military attack.
