Tehran, August 21 (KCNA) -- Recently, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the British charge d'affaires in Tehran to protest against the UK police's harsh crackdown on civilian demonstrators.

A senior official of the ministry conveyed a protest note to the charge d'affaires, reiterating the Iranian government's deep concern about the police's crackdown.
