U.S.-S. Korea Joint Military Exercises Protested by Austrian Organization

Pyongyang, August 22 (KCNA) -- The Left Bloc of the Austrian Trade Union Federation on August 17 sent a letter to the south Korean puppet embassy in Vienna in protest against the U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises.

The letter demanded an immediate stop to the joint military exercises being staged against the DPRK.

It expressed resentment against the U.S. for kicking off the saber-rattling together with the south Korean authorities.

The south Korean authorities faked up the "Cheonan" warship sinking case last year, branded the blasting at the peaceable construction site of the DPRK as shelling by the Korean People's Army and opened fire under this pretext, it charged.

Judging from such acts, it is as clear as noonday that the current joint military exercises are so dangerous that they may lead to a war, it said.

The organization demands once again the U.S. and the south Korean authorities stop at once the saber-rattling which increases the danger of a war, it stressed.

It urged the south Korean authorities to immediately set free all the detained pro-reunification patriots.
