Pyongyang, August 22 (KCNA) -- The Brazil-Korea Friendship Association on August 10 issued bulletin titled "Kim Jong Il, Songun leadership and modern Korea" on the 51st anniversary of his start of the Songun revolutionary leadership.

The bulletin in an article said his Songun leadership put the military power of the DPRK and its single-minded unity on the highest level.

It also brought about the world-startling changes in all fields including economy, the bulletin noted.

His line of building an economic power in the era of Songun provided a sure guarantee for developing the country's economy despite the vicious moves of the imperialists for aggression, sanctions and blockade, it said, and went on:

The DPRK successfully launched satellites by its own efforts in 1998 and 2009 and pushed forward the updating in the fields such as machine building, steel and foodstuff industries.

The land of the whole country was realigned into large-scale standardized fields, gravity-fed waterways completed in succession and genetic and biological engineering made leaping progress to lay a foundation for effecting a turn in grain production.

The slogan "Push Back the Frontiers of Latest Science and Technology!" is ringing out in all fabrics of social life including education, public health, literature and arts.
