Joint Seminar in Russia Calls for Learning from Songun Politics

Pyongyang, August 21 (KCNA) -- A joint seminar was held in Russia on August 14 on the 51st anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of the Songun revolutionary leadership and the 66th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

Present there were officials and members of the International Alliance of Societies for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Policy in East European and Central Asian Regions, the All-Russian Society for the Study and Dissemination of Kimilsungism, the Russian Society for Promoting the Study and Dissemination of Comrade Kim Jong Il's Works, the Kim Jong Suk Women's Union of Russia and the Russian Youth Association for the Study of the Songun Policy.

Mikhail Panchenko, general secretary of the International Alliance of Societies for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Policy in East European and Central Asian Regions, made a report at the seminar.

President Kim Il Sung organized and waged the anti-Japanese armed struggle for a long period to take back the country usurped by the Japanese imperialists, he said. The liberation of Korea instilled great inspiration and conviction into the world oppressed people, he added.

Kim Jong Il formulated the Songun politics as the basic political mode under socialism and has led the socialist cause to victory by relying on the People's Army in order to defend the sovereignty of the popular masses won at the cost of blood, he stressed.

Dmitryev Andrei, chairman of the All-Russian Society for the Study and Dissemination of Kimilsungism, in his speech noted that the future of the single-minded unity of the society of the DPRK rallied close around Kim Jong Il is firmly guaranteed by the Songun politics.

Yevgeni Pablenko, vice-chairman of the Russian Youth Association for the Study of the Songun Policy, stressed that only when one learns from the Songun politics of the DPRK, one can defend the sovereignty, dignity, peace and stability of the country.
