Action for Settlement of Registration Fee Issue Called for in S. Korea

Pyongyang, August 20 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Federation of University Student Councils in the 21st Century held a rally in Seoul on August 15 to settle the registration fee issue at which it demanded the puppet authorities implement their commitment to halve the registration fee.

It was attended by more than 2 000 youth and students and citizens.

At the rally speakers said that Hwang Sung Won, a student of Seoul City University, died while toiling in a work site on July 22 to earn money to pay his registration fee.

Many students and citizens toiled and moiled to pay his debts caused by the money lent as school fee but Mayor of Seoul O Se Hun, managing director of the university, and the "government" did not mention even a word of consolation, they charged.

They cannot remain a passive onlooker any longer to spending money for purchasing weapons to kill fellow countrymen though it should be directed to people's living including education and healthcare, etc., they held.

They condemned the "government" and the "Grand National Party" for not implementing their commitment to halve the registration fee.

They vowed to fight it out so that students may not die due to the registration fee in the future.
