66th Anniversary of Korea's Liberation Celebrated in Kyrgyzstan and Guinea

Pyongyang, August 20 (KCNA) -- Lectures were given in Kyrgyzstan and Guinea on August 10 and 11 on the 66th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

Anarbek Usupbaev, chairman of the Central Council of the People Unity-"Kyrgyz El" Republican Political Party and chief of the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea of Kyrgyzstan, said that on August 15, 1945, 66 years ago the Korean people were liberated from the colonial rule of the Japanese imperialists.

He went on:

President Kim Il Sung, the great leader of the Korean people, laid down the line of the anti-Japanese armed struggle, founding the anti-Japanese People's Guerrilla Army and leading the protracted armed struggle to victory without state backing or any assistance from a regular army.

After the liberation the President wisely led the Korean people for nearly half a century, building a country centered on the popular masses, the first of its kind in their history, and turning the DPRK into a socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defense.

The Korean people are holding him in high esteem as the eternal President of the Republic and are all out to implement his behests.

The Korean people are sure to build a thriving nation under Kim Jong Il's wise leadership in the near future.

Abdoulaye Diallo, chairman of the Guinean Society for the Study of the Juche Literary Idea, said:

The President led the anti-Japanese armed struggle to victory, defeating the imperialist aggressors through an organized armed struggle and paving the way for achieving national liberation which gave a good example to the people of colonial countries, adding that the President's feats would remain shining long.
