Floral Tribute to Kim Po Hyon

Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid before the grave of ardent patriot Kim Po Hyon in Mangyongdae on August 19, the 140th anniversary of his birth.

Seen before it was a wreath sent by Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

Participated in wreath-laying ceremony were leading officials of the party and state, officials of the party, armed forces and power bodies, social organizations, ministries, national institutions, KPA servicepersons and working people in Pyongyang.

Wreaths in the name of the Central Committee of the WPK, social organizations, ministries, national institutions and party and power institutions and farms in Pyongyang were placed before the grave.

The participants observed a moment silence in memory of Kim Po Hyon, looking back on his noble life dedicated to the future of the country and nation.
