Literary Writing Activities Brisk among School Youth and Children in DPRK

Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- Literary writing activities are brisk among school youth and children in the DPRK.

During the period of mass literature prize contest this year, the number of entries increased more than 1 000 over the same period last year.

Among them are works reflecting the ardent yearnings of the Korean people and school youth and children for President Kim Il Sung and praising the feats performed by leader Kim Jong Il.

Some other works vividly portray the ideological and moral world of young Koreans demonstrating their talents and gallantry in every work site of a great surge, the stirring reality of the country and the happy life of the Korean people.

Words of songs, compositions, etc. reflecting the pledge of the school children to prepare themselves to be the pillars of Songun Korea were also among the entries.
