Action against Japan's Moves to Grab Tok Islets Declared in S. Korea

Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Democratic Labor Party (DLP) of south Korea in a commentary on August 15 declared an action to stand against Japan's moves to grab Tok Islets.

66 years have passed since the Japanese imperialists were defeated, the commentary said. It accused Japan of trying to revive the nightmare of the past colonial rule, while foolishly dreaming about grabbing Tok Islets and reviving militarism, oblivious of a lesson drawn from its defeat.

Japan has now become all the more covetous for the islets, a proof of the present south Korean "government's" diplomatic failure, it noted.

It strongly demanded the authorities concentrate all efforts on exposing and denouncing Japan's provocation.

There will be no future of Tok Islets if we forget Japan's past history in which it tried to deprive the Korean nation of even its soul, it said, stressing that the DLP would come out for action to defend the islets in the future.
