Construction of Folk Park Makes Brisk Headway

Pyongyang, August 16 (KCNA) -- The construction of the Pyongyang Folk Park has made brisk headway in the DPRK, making its future appearance clear.

Seen in the area for the exhibition of historic relics are models including those of mausoleums of King Tangun, King Tongmyong and King Wang Gon, etc.

Also standing there are models of many grand monumental edifices including the Mansudae Grand Monument, the Chollima Statue, the Tower of the Juche Idea, the Party Founding Memorial Tower, the Arch of Triumph, the International Friendship Exhibition House, the West Sea Barrage and Okryu Restaurant.

The construction of at least 60 objects associated with the Korean people's wisdom and talent is progressing at a rapid tempo in the area of folk village.

Government agency, Buddhist temple, military officer's house, house of a civil servant, military camp and 99-roomed house dating back to the period of Koguryo and Pyongyang noodle restaurant and Kimchi shop dating back to the period of the Ri Dynasty, etc. look just like what they used to be in the past. Frame projects for a palace of Palhae and buildings of Koryo Songgyungwan Academy have been completed.

Such projects as the construction of sites of archery, shuttlecock game, Korean wrestling and resting places and restaurants have also been wound up.

Innovations are reported from the construction site in the area for comprehensive education in history.

Meanwhile, projects for the pavement of a ring road and the construction of water supply and drainage networks and other projects are also making brisk headway.
