S. Korean Chief Prosecutor's Reckless Remarks Slammed

Pyongyang, August 16 (KCNA) -- A deputy spokesman for the Democratic Labor Party of south Korea in a commentary on August 12 denounced the puppet chief prosecutor's reckless remarks.

That day Han Sang Dae, chief prosecutor, in his inaugural speech cried out for "eradicating pro-north leftist forces", the commentary recalled.

It condemned him for revealing his undisguised attempt to create a terror-ridden atmosphere of suppression even before a report on a hearing at the "National Assembly" was ready and receiving a writ of appointment.

The chief executive is now under fire by different circles for having appointed his confidant as chief prosecutor in a bid to crack down on the opposition parties and progressive forces on the threshold of the next year's elections, it noted, adding that this is evidenced by the reckless remarks made by Han against this background.

Whenever the security authorities cracked down on the democratic forces and progressive figures, they used the pretext of eliminating pro-north leftist forces.

It urged the chief prosecutor to stop at once the coloring racket dating back to the old era.
