Pyongyang, August 14 (KCNA) -- The Koreans in Uzbekistan formed a preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung on August 9.

Chairman, vice-chairman and members of the committee were elected at the inaugural meeting.

The committee set the commemoration period from October 1, 2011 to April 30, 2012 and decided to hold various events including meeting, national art festival, film show, remembrance meeting, concert and photo and book exhibition.
