Chairman of KFA Visits Pyongyang Mission of AINDF

Pyongyang, August 12 (KCNA) -- Alejandro Cao de Benos, chairman of the Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain, and his party Friday visited the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front on a visit to the DPRK.

Chief Jo Il Min and officials of the mission met and had a talk with them.

At the talk, he and the KFA chairman informed each other of their activities and discussed the issue of boosting solidarity activities in the future.

Jo Il Min referred to the fact that progressive media and Internet websites in south Korea are widely introducing the greatness of leader Kim Jong Il these days.

He informed the guests that owing to the fabrication of "spy ring case" and frantic north-targeted war exercises in south Korea, the inter-Korean relations have reached an extreme phase of confrontation and the people's struggle for the right to existence has become fierce.

Alejandro Cao de Benos stressed that he would continue to support and encourage the AINDF and the south Korean people in their struggle for the implementation of the historic north-south joint declaration and independence, democracy and reunification.

He issued a statement condemning the U.S. and the south Korean authorities for their projected Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military exercises.

The statement urged them to drop foolish daydream to stifle the DPRK by force of arms, branding this saber-rattling extremely dangerous criminal act.

The statement noted that the KFA would fully support the Korean people in their just cause of defending peace and security in solidarity with all the progressive forces and anti-war peace organizations in the world.
