Pyongyang, August 12 (KCNA) -- Myanmar reiterated on Monday its efforts for the maintenance of peace and stability in the ASEAN region. Myanmar President U Thein Sein said this in his congratulatory message to the 44th anniversary of ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Day.

Referring to the efforts made by the government in the past to implement the roadmap for the ASEAN Community, he stressed that Myanmar will make every possible effort for the economic development, prosperity and well-being of all the ASEAN people in the future.
