Beijing, August 11 (KCNA) -- Chongqing Municipality of China finished the first-stage project of its first metro recently.

The section linking the eastern area of the municipality with its western area is 15.7 km long.

The municipality is planning to build more sections of metro before 2013 and pushing forward the project.
