Japan's False Report about DPRK Rebuked

Beijing, August 10 (KCNA) -- Tokyo Shimbun and other Japanese media Sunday reported that the DPRK asked China to hold joint military exercises only to be snubbed.

South Korean media, including Dong-A Ilbo, echoed this report.

In an interview with the Chinese newspaper Global Times Tuesday, the Press Department of the Defense Ministry of China stated that "there was not such a thing as reported".

The paper Wednesday quoted a Chinese expert in the Korean affairs, Lu Chao, as saying that China must express resentment against Japan's false report.

It was not the first time that Japan released false reports, straining the tensions in Northeast Asia.

Earlier, Japanese media lied that soldiers of the Chinese People's Liberation Army were stationed in the DPRK.

Japan is leaving no stone unturned to screw up the tensions in Northeast Asia in which some changes are under way. In this way it seeks to tighten military alliance with the U.S. and, at the same time, secure a pretext for it.

It is nothing surprising for Japan to release false reports for this purpose.
