Senegalese Newspaper Introduces Three Charters for National Reunification

Pyongyang, August 11 (KCNA) -- A newspaper of Senegal on August 2 carried an article titled "Great Programme of Korea's Reunification" to introduce the three charters for national reunification.

The paper introduced the essence, contents and validity of the three principles of national reunification, the 10-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation and the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo which constitute the three charters for national reunification.

The three charters serve as banner of inspiration for the Korean people as they arouse the broad Koreans to the sacred cause of reunification, grasping their hearts, it said.

The June 15 joint declaration was adopted between the north and the south of Korea and a new era advancing toward independence and peaceful reunification opened in June 2000. It would be unthinkable without the charters, the paper noted. The present south Korean authorities have persistently turned away from such reasonable proposals for Korea's reunification, it added.

If they truly hope for the reunification of the Korean Peninsula, they should respond to the reunification proposal by federal formula, the paper urged.
