Korean People's Cause for Reunification Supported

Pyongyang, August 11 (KCNA) -- Banou Keita, chairman of the Guinea-Korea Friendship Association, released a statement on August 4 on the 14th anniversary of the publication of leader Kim Jong Il's work "Let Us Carry Out the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung's Instructions for National Reunification".

The statement said that Kim Jong Il provided the Korean people with the correct guidelines for reunification by formulating as the three charters for Korea's reunification the three principles of national reunification, the 10-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation and the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo.

The three charters for Korea's reunification clearly indicate the fundamental principles and ways of achieving reunification. So, they grasped the hearts of the broad Korean people and encouraged them to carrying out the cause of reunification, the statement said, adding:

The charters have evoked great sympathy from the progressive people in the world for their validity and vitality.

We strongly demand the south Korean authorities stop the anti-reunification and confrontation moves against the fellow countrymen as early as possible, improve the inter-Korean relations and opt for implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.

Convinced that a thriving reunified nation would be built without fail on the Korean Peninsula as there are the three charters for national reunification, we extend full support and solidarity to the Korean people in their efforts to realize peaceful reunification of the country under the banner of national independence.
