Rodong Sinmun Calls for Fresh Turn in Land Management

Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- All Koreans should make vigorous endeavors to carry out the far-reaching plan of the Workers' Party of Korea for land construction with ardent patriotic enthusiasm and thus hand down beautiful land and rich resources to posterity.

Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says this in a bylined article.

Leader Kim Jong Il's work "On Bringing about New Turn in Land Management" published on August 11, 1996 serves as important guidelines for land management to be held fast to at present when a powerful country is being built, the article notes, and goes on:

Great changes have been made in land management over the last 15 years since the publication of the work.

The land of the whole country has undergone changes as befitting the land of socialist Korea and a work has made dynamic progress to turn the land into a thick woodland and greenery thanks to far-reaching plan of Kim Jong Il and his energetic leadership. The landscape of the country has undergone a dramatic change in the true sense of the word: Many rivers have been more nicely transformed and there appeared a lot of new highways and monumental edifices in the era of Songun one after another.

It is the noble intention of the WPK to turn the land of the fatherland, the legacy bequeathed by President Kim Il Sung to us, into the best one in the world and thus eternally glorify dignified Kim Il Sung's Korea.

Thanks to the patriotic will of Kim Jong Il gigantic nature-harnessing projects were undertaken even in the period of the most difficult Arduous March, forced march to give face-lifting to the land as required by the Songun era.

The article calls for conducting the campaign for land management as a movement involving the whole party and society and thus turn the whole country into a socialist land of bliss.
