OPEC Daily Crude Oil Output Up

Pyongyang, August 8 (KCNA) -- The daily crude oil output of the member nations of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) reached 30 367 000 barrels in July, or 607 000 barrels more than before, according to an oil market survey of Dow-Jons on August 2.

The figure is a record high since November 2008.

OPEC decided to limit the oil output of the member nations in late 2008.

But their output this summer nearly reached the amount three years before.

Dow-Jons is of the view that the situation shows the organization's quota system no longer works.
