Singapore Refutes Human Trafficking Report Released by U.S.

Pyongyang, August 6 (KCNA) -- An inter-agency taskforce of Singapore on trafficking in persons has released on Monday a detailed response of five pages to a recent U.S. report on human trafficking.

Recently the U.S. State Department issued a report saying that Singapore does not yet meet the elementary international standards in human trafficking. The document branded it completely groundless.

Human trafficking is rampant in the U.S., it said.

The United States has a more serious TIP (trafficking in persons report) problem compared with Singapore, it added.
