Korean People's Victory in War Observed by Russian Paper

Pyongyang, August 6 (KCNA) -- The Russian paper Patriot No. 28 carried special articles headlined "Decisive factor of victory" and "Armistice Agreement" on the day of the victory of the Korean people in the war." They were illustrated with a photo of President Kim Il Sung.

The shining victory won by the Korean people in the Fatherland Liberation War was entirely thanks to the wise leadership of the President, the paper said, and went on:

July 27, 1953 when the Korean Armistice Agreement was signed was the day of weighty significance in the modern history.

More than half a century has passed since the ceasefire but the U.S. has been persistent in its political and military provocations and economic sanctions against the DPRK. The Korean people have, however, defended socialism, resolutely foiling the moves of the U.S. imperialists.

A durable peace has not yet been settled in the Korean Peninsula because the U.S. is opposed to the conclusion of a peace treaty.

No force on earth can bring the Korean people to their knees as long as there are the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il, the Juche idea and the Songun politics.
