Korean People's Cause of National Reunification Supported by Nepali Organizations

Pyongyang, August 3 (KCNA) -- Nepali organizations made public a joint statement on July 29 on the June 25-July 27 month of anti-U.S. joint struggle. They included the Nepali Committee for Supporting the Reunification of Korea, the Nepali Committee for Promotion of Reunification of Korea, the Nepali Journalist Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Politics, the Peace Action Committee of Nepal, the National Press Club of Nepal, the Nepali Association for Supporting the Songun Politics and the Study Forum for Self-Reliance of Nepal.

The Korean Armistice Agreement was signed 58 years ago but the U.S. and the south Korean authorities are still keeping the U.S. forces and nuclear weapons in south Korea despite the sincere efforts of the DPRK to ensure peace, the statement said.

They are also becoming all the more pronounced in their moves to commit military provocations against the DPRK and threatening peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula, it noted.

Korea should be reunified by the federal formula, it said, urging all countries concerned to positively help the Korean people reunify the country by their own efforts peacefully.
