Beijing, August 1 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the State Administration for Religious Affairs of China rejected the Vatican's threat to the Chinese Catholic Church.

The Vatican threatened to punish the Chinese Catholic Church for having ordained two bishops without permission.

In a press statement, the spokesman described the threat as impolite and rude.

It seriously hurt the Chinese Catholic Church and believers, said the statement.
