Floral Tribute Paid to Kang Pan Sok
Pyongyang, July 31 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid before the statue of Kang Pan Sok, an indomitable revolutionary fighter and an outstanding leader of the Korean women's movement, at the Chilgol Revolutionary Site and her grave in Mangyongdae on Sunday, the 79th anniversary of her demise.

Seen there were wreaths from Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremonies were senior party, state and army officials and officials of party and power bodies, working people's organizations and ministries, servicepersons and working people in the city of Pyongyang.

Placed before the statue and grave were wreaths in the name of the WPK Central Committee, the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly and the DPRK Cabinet.

Also laid were wreaths from working people's organizations, ministries, military universities, education and media organs, revolutionary schools and party and power organs, farms and others in the city.

The participants paid a silent tribute to Kang Pan Sok, recalling her brilliant revolutionary life.
