Women Called upon to Demonstrate Revolutionary Stamina in Building Thriving Nation
Pyongyang, July 30 (KCNA) -- The promulgation of the law on sex equality marked an event of a great significance as it brought about a fundamental change in the destiny of the Korean women who had long been subject to social subjugation and inequality with no political rights guaranteed.

Papers here Saturday say this in editorials dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the promulgation of the law.

Rodong Sinmun says that the Korean women have reposed absolute trust in President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il with high loyalty and devotedly defended the country with transparent faith in the victory of socialism for the past 65 years.

They have also devoted their all to the future of the revolution, the society and the collective.

They have never thought about their own life apart from the leader and the embrace of the party.

Lots of young women are glorifying their lives as human bullets and bombs on the anti-imperialist military front and as pace-setters in the drive for effecting a great surge.

The revolutionary mothers of the DPRK are giving a steady continuity to the generation of the nation and the revolution by providing them with mental pabulum and putting them forward before the party, the leader, the country and the people.

They could unswervingly follow the path of the revolution with indomitable faith and strong will thanks to the wise leadership of the President and Kim Jong Il.

Minju Joson notes it was the shining tradition of the Korean women that they displayed ardent patriotic devotion in the history of the drive for a great surge, deeming it happiness to work for the prosperity of the country. The paper calls on them to give fuller play to their revolutionary stamina in the on-going onward movement for a great surge.
