Rodong Sinmun Accuses S. Korean Conservative Group of Fascist Suppression
Pyongyang, July 29 (KCNA) -- The conservative group of south Korea is blocking social progress and democratic development on the strength of the "National Security Law." Its present reality goes to prove that the south Korean people can never expect their elementary human rights guaranteed, to say nothing of independence, democracy and reunification, as long as the NSL is allowed to remain in force. Rodong Sinmun Friday says this in a by-lined article.

The present ruling forces in south Korea are the heinous fascist dictatorial forces keen on abusing human rights while maintaining their power on the strength of the NSL, the article notes, and goes on:

The conservative group has desperately blocked any move of the progressive forces for the repeal of the evil law, claiming "abolition of the NSL is premature" even before their seizure of power. No sooner had it come to power than revived the past fascist dictatorial system as evidenced by the restoration of the already defunct department which specialized in handling the cases of the violation of the NSL, etc. The south Korean fascist authorities are brutally cracking down upon even the struggle of the people from all walks of life for the guarantee of the right to existence on charges of violation of the NSL, libeling them "forces behind the action" and the like.

The present ruling forces in south Korea are shameless dictatorial maniacs getting frantic in their campaign against the DPRK under the signboard of "human rights".

Their anti-DPRK campaign over "its human rights issue" is nothing but a revelation of their traitorous attempt to cover up their serious human rights abuses, divert elsewhere the attention of the people in anti-"government" actions and realize their scenario for achieving "unification of systems," their long-harbored goal.

If the south Korean authorities persist in intensifying the fascist suppression and kicking up the anti-DPRK campaign over its "human rights issue," defying the call of the times for the abolition of the NSL, they will certainly find themselves in the dumping ground of history along with the fascist law, warns the article.
