War Victory Day of Korean People Marked in Finland and India
Pyongyang, July 29 (KCNA) -- Officials of Finland and India issued statements on July 22 on the 58th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

The Korean War was a heroic and just war of the Korean people who beat back the aggression by the U.S.-led imperialist allied forces, Antti Sika Aho, chairman of the Finland-Korea Society, said, and went on:

The world progressive people are praising the Korean people as the heroic people who defeated the U.S. for the first time in the world.

President Kim Il Sung not only led the Fatherland Liberation War to victory but wisely led the postwar rehabilitation and construction and thus successfully built the popular socialist system in a brief span of time.

The DPRK has turned into a powerful state thanks to the Songun politics of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

We fully approve of his Songun politics and extend firm solidarity to the Korean people in their struggle to achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country.

Wipin Gupta, chairman of the Juche Philosophy Study Committee of India, said the Korean people won the victory in the war and thus frustrated the attempt of the U.S. to put the world under its control with the Korean Peninsula as a springboard and defended the peace and security of the world.

He denounced the U.S. for committing ceaseless military provocations against the DPRK by instigating the south Korean puppet clique, far from drawing a serious lesson from the defeat it suffered in the Korean war.
