Solidarity with DPRK Expressed in Different Countries
Pyongyang, July 29 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries between July 18 and 23 to mark the 58th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War and the month of international solidarity with them.

They included meetings in Switzerland and Germany and a film show in Malaysia.

The chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee said that under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung the heroic Korean People's Army and the people of the DPRK won a brilliant victory in the Fatherland Liberation War against the aggression by the U.S. imperialists and their followers.

The Korean people's victory in the war was a historic event that brought about the beginning of decline for the U.S. imperialists, who boasted of being the "strongest" in the world, and powerfully encouraged the world progressive people in the anti-imperialist national liberation struggle, he said.

The chief of the Franken Group for the Study of the Juche Idea of Germany referred to the feats of the President for the victory in the war and to the validity and invincible might of the Songun politics pursued by General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Messages of greeting and solidarity to Kim Jong Il were adopted at the meetings in Switzerland and Germany.

Meanwhile, a film show was held at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research of Russia on July 20 to commemorate the 17th anniversary of demise of the President.
