Decrees of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly were read out before awarding them.

The commendations included Kim Il Sung Prize, wrist watch bearing the august name of President Kim Il Sung, citation of general secretary Kim Jong Il, Kim Il Sung Youth Honor Prize, honorary titles, Order of National Flag First Class, Order of Labor, Order of National Flag Second and Third Classes and Medal of Merit.
