Foreign Papers Celebrate DPRK's War Victory Day
Pyongyang, July 28 (KCNA) -- Russian and Syrian papers gave special write-ups to the 58th anniversary of the Korean People's victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

The Russian newspaper Patriot on July 21 carried in its three pages a photo of President Kim Il Sung delivering a speech at the Pyongyang city mass rally in celebration of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War, a photo of the President and general secretary Kim Jong Il, and photos showing the changed Pyongyang city and an article titled "Victory".

The young DPRK won a brilliant victory in the war against the U.S.-led imperialist allied forces on July 27, 1953, the article said, adding: The secret of the victory was the President and the exceptional self-sacrificing spirit and mass heroism of the army and people closely rallied around him.

With his extraordinary military wisdom and gifted stratagem unknown in the human history of wars the President smashed the enemies' military technical and numerical superiority by means of politico-ideological and strategic and tactical superiority, the article said.

The Syrian newspaper Al Baath on July 22 carried an article entitled "Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War".

The article praised the undying feats the President performed for the victory in the war by defeating the U.S. imperialists, who boasted of being the "strongest" in the world, with his original military idea, strategy and tactics and war methods.
