"Friendship Pavilion" Commissioned at Russian Embassy
Pyongyang, July 26 (KCNA) -- A "friendship pavilion", a Korean-style pavilion, was commissioned in the compound of the Russian embassy here with due ceremony on Tuesday.

Present there on invitation were Mun Jae Chol, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who doubles as chairman of the DPRK-Russia Friendship Association, and officials concerned.

Ambassador Valery E. Sukhinin and staff members of the Russian embassy here were present there.

Speeches were made at the ceremony.

The speakers referred to the fact that the pavilion has been built as a symbol of traditional DPRK-Russia friendship in a significant period of marking the 10th anniversary of general secretary Kim Jong Il's historic visit to Russia and the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the DPRK-Russia Moscow declaration.

They expressed the belief that the history of the friendship between the two countries would be given steady continuity.
