Land Management Makes Headway in DPRK
Pyongyang, July 25 (KCNA) -- The DPRK made a good result in tree-planting, river improvement, road construction and town and village facelifting throughout the country during the nationwide spring campaign for land management from March to May.

Pyongyang people created many green belts and flowerbeds covering tens of thousands of square meters and planted millions of flowering plants.

People of South Phyongan Province planted tens of thousands of trees of good species along major roads and railways and trees for props in hundreds of hectares. Phyongsong, the seat of the province, built a park and created green belts and flowerbeds along streets.

North Hwanghae Province finished the construction of a road linking three power stations built along the River Ryesong. Yonthan County planted trees of economic value in nearly 700 hectares.

Jagang Province concentrated effort on improving many roads, while South Hwanghae Province built a nature-driven waterway extending some 70 kilometers.

The plans for planting Evodia daniellii and trees for paper manufacture were carried out at 112 and 110 percent respectively throughout the country during the months.
