Worthwhile Life under Care of Great Leader (21)
Pyongyang, July 24 (KCNA) -- There is a legend to be conveyed forever in Taehongdan, a glorious land.

This legend is about Min Hong Dan named by general secretary Kim Jong Il.

It was in March 2000 when the leader visited the family of Min Won Sik, a discharged soldier, during his field guidance to Taehongdan County.

He looked after every aspect of Min's life as his real father would do for his son who moved to a new house. When the wife of this ordinary discharged soldier unreservedly asked the leader to give a name to their baby to be born, he was so kind-hearted as to tell the couple to name the baby Tae Hong if it would be a son or Hong Dan if it would be a daughter.

Thanks to great blessings given by the leader, Min Hong Dan became a pride not only of the Min Won Sik's family and the 1 000 discharged soldiers who volunteered to work at the Paektusamcholli Plain but the whole county from the day of her birth.

The subsequent period witnessed the birth of many babies called Tae Hong and Hong Dan, who would shoulder upon themselves the future of Taehongdan County. Min Hong Dan graduated from a primary school and became the first-year student of Sodu Secondary School in the county on April 1 this year to have ample opportunity of learning.
