Cold Weather Observed in East Coastal Areas of Korea
Pyongyang, July 22 (KCNA) -- East coastal areas of Korea have been affected by cold weather.

According to meteorologists, the daytime temperature in the areas is 2-5 degrees centigrade lower than the average and cold weather will persist for some more days.

Low temperature is unfavorable for the growth of rice and other crops.

Pak Kwang Chol, director of the Agricultural Information and Technology Center of the Academy of Agricultural Science, told KCNA that cold weather badly affects rice plants in the growth period.
