S. Korean Conservative Group Bound to Go to Ruin
Pyongyang, July 16 (KCNA) -- With the end of its rule drawing close, the south Korean conservative group is more desperately resorting to acts of treachery and making last-ditch efforts to prolong its remaining days in a bid to tide over the ever-worsening ruling crisis but they are in vain, says Rodong Sinmun Saturday in a bylined article.

The conservative group is a bandit of traitors who regard it as means of existence to depend on and follow foreign forces and a group of heinous confrontation maniacs trampling down the aspiration of all Koreans for peace and reunification, the article notes, and goes on:

The group has prolonged its dirty remaining days, backed by the U.S., turning its back on the nation.

This is clearly evidenced by what the group has done during its little over three years of office.

Ever since it came to power, the Lee Myung Bak group has pursued the policy of deteriorating the inter-Korean relations while antagonizing fellow countrymen. It talked about "no nukes, opening and 3 000 dollars," negating the historic June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration. It has pursued political and military confrontation with the DPRK, getting extremely hostile to its dignified system.

Those who go against the will and wishes of the nation cannot escape its curse and condemnation. The miserable fate of the successive puppet ruling quarters goes to clearly prove that whoever pursues confrontation with fellow countrymen in disregard of the nation's aspiration cannot escape ruin.

The conservative group will never be able to escape final ruin in face of the dynamic struggle of the popular masses rallied close as one under the banner of independence, democracy and reunification.
