Anniversary of Demise of Kim Il Sung Commemorated in Foreign Countries
Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- Events were held in Indonesia and India from July 3 to 7 on the 17th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung. They included remembrance meetings, book and photo exhibitions and film shows held by the Pioneer Party of Indonesia, the Indonesia-Korea Association for Friendship and Cultural Exchange, the Godwin Austen Company, the Rabitra Bahtera Pratama Co. and the Badja Machine Co. of Indonesia, the Indian Intellectuals' Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, the Indian Working Women Society for Study of the Juche Philosophy and the Sriralmahal Group of India.

On display in their venues were works of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il and books and photos on their exploits.

The participants of the film shows watched DPRK films "The Tower of the Juche Idea" and "Arms of Korea."

The general chairman of the National Guidance Council of the Pioneer Party of Indonesia said Kim Il Sung made a great contribution to the just cause of global independence against imperialism.

The chairman of the Indonesia-Korea Association for Friendship and Cultural Exchange recalled that Kim Il Sung established friendly relations with Indonesia together with President Sukarno, reiterating his will to set store by these ties and continue to boost them in the days ahead.

The chairman of the Indian Intellectuals' Society for the Study of the Juche Idea noted that Kim Il Sung met political and public figures of many countries in the last period of his life and exerted all efforts to make sure that they steadily advance the cause of independence with firm faith in socialism, without giving it up halfway.
