Mayor of Nago City, Japan Demands US Military Base out of Prefecture

| Pyongyang, July 12 (KCNA) -- The mayor of Nago City, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan strongly protested the recent government's agreement with the U.S. to transfer the U.S. Air Force Base in Futenma to Henoko, Nago City, when meeting with a vice-minister of Foreign Affairs on July 5. The mayor said he cannot accept such a decision adopted indifferent to the view of the locals. The Nago citizens are enraged at the government attitude, he said, demanding the base be transferred out of the prefecture. |
