Russia Organizes Tour of Kurils by Foreigners

| Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) -- 34 tourists from five countries including Britain visited the Kurils of Russia in mid-June. This tour was organized by the Kamchatka travel agency of Russia. The agency said on July 4 that they toured Kurils with Russian visa. Meanwhile, the Japanese government expressed the stand that it can not accept any visit to the "northern territory" on the premise that it is under jurisdiction of Russia. The agency rejected this stand, saying that the tour was conducted by the law of Russia. |
