Actions for Judging Lee Myung Bak Regime Staged in S. Korea
Pyongyang, July 3 (KCNA) -- The south Korean preparatory committee for the People's Strength for Building New World held an all-people rally in Seoul on June 29 to judge the Lee Myung Bak regime for deteriorating the people's livelihood.

Attending it were workers, farmers, students and other masses of different social standings, at least 10,000 in all.

Kim Yong Hun, chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions, Ri Kwang Sok, chairman of the Federation of Peasants Associations, Pak Ja Un, chairperson of the Federation of University Students in the 21st Century, spoke at the rally.

The authorities are ruthlessly violating the vital rights of the workers, indifferent to the developments at the Hanjin Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. and the Yusong Enterprise, the speakers charged.

There is no room to retreat any longer as the regime uses violence against people calling for their vital rights and there is no way but to take actions to meet their demands, they stressed.

Calling for demonstrating the strength of all the people through the overall anti-"government" struggle, they demanded the authorities raise minimum wage, halve registration fee, stop the suppression of the labor movement, ensure the basic labor right, revise the Law on Trade Unions and stop the moves for the conclusion of the "Free Trade Agreement" with the U.S.

The participants staged a demonstration.

That day the fascist police deployed more than 9,000 repressive forces of 114 companies around the venues of the rally and demonstration, creating terror-ridden atmosphere.
