Solidarity for Korean People's Struggle Expressed in Pakistan
Pyongyang, July 3 (KCNA) -- 11 Pakistani political parties and organizations issued a joint statement on June 27 on the occasion of the month of international solidarity with the Korean people. They included the Sind Provincial Committee of the Labor Party, the Karachi Branch of the People's Party, the Society for the Study of Self-Reliance, the Karachi Juche Study Center and the Karachi Branch of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association.

Tension is constantly running high on the Korean Peninsula due to the aggression moves by the U.S. imperialists and their stooges, the statement said, and went on:

The U.S. imperialists and the south Korean authorities are becoming all the more pronounced in their moves against the DPRK typified by military exercises and political and economic pressure put on it.

We condemn the U.S. imperialists' moves to ignite a war to dominate the whole of Korea as an encroachment upon the sovereignty of the Korean people and a big threat to the peace in Asia and the rest of the world.

We stress once again that the anti-U.S. struggle is a common task facing progressive mankind.

If the U.S. truly wants the reunification and peace of Korea, it should drop its hostile policy toward the DPRK and opt for responding to the DPRK's proposal for the replacement of the armistice agreement with a peace one.

World progressives should conduct the positive solidarity movement for supporting the Korean people in their struggle to get the U.S. forces withdrawn from south Korea and reunify the country.

We call upon the world peace-loving people and democratic forces to express solidarity with the Korean people's struggle. We demand the U.S. and the south Korean authorities stop at once the war moves.
