S. Korea Tops World's List of Human Traffickers
Pyongyang, July 1 (KCNA) -- South Korea tops the world's list of human traffickers, the south Korean Kyunghyang Daily News reported on June 28 quoting a document of a foreign country.

Owners and flesh traffickers subordinate street-walking women to them by forcing them to increasingly fall into debt, the document said, adding they restricted the movement of those women and did not reward them.

South Korean women including those in their teens are forced into prostitution in the U.S., Japan and other parts of the world.

Lots of foreign women who came to south Korea for job or marriage are often forced into prostitution or forced labor.

This data is almost the same as the one last year, the document said, describing south Korea as a supply area, transit place and final destination of forced prostitution.

The document has put south Korea on the top of the list of human trafficking countries after 2002, the newspaper said, deploring south Korea still tops the list.
