China Calls for Cultural Construction in Remote Autonomous Regions

Beijing, June 29 (KCNA) -- Liu Yunshan, head of the Publicity Department of the C.C., Communist Party of China, called for opening a new phase of cultural construction in the remote autonomous regions. He said this when touring the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region recently.

The remote autonomous regions have rich history and culture, eco-culture and resources of tribal culture of nationalities, he said, underlining the need to positively develop the rich contents of the sources of culture.

He called for efforts to provide the people of all nationalities with happiness to steadily hew out a new phase of the cultural construction in the remote autonomous regions.
