Colorful Painting in Koguryo Tomb Murals
Pyongyang, June 29 (KCNA) -- Colorful painting is one of the main features of ancient buildings in Korea. They have colorful pictures and patterns on pillars, rafters, walls and ceilings.

Koguryo tomb murals also have colorful painting.

Beams, trusses and props drawn on murals in a tomb in Tokhung-ri, Kangso District, Nampho City and tombs No. 2 and 3 in Anak County, South Hwanghae Province are all decorated with cloud, bine, flame and other patterns.

The painting is characterized by different but harmonious colors.

The Taedong Gate in Central District is typical of the colorfully patterned ancient buildings in Pyongyang.
