China Clarifies Its Stand to Invite Sudanese President
Beijing, June 28 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently clarified its stand to invite Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir to his country despite accusations by human rights organizations.

The Chinese government has the right to invite Bashir who has been supported by China for years, he said.

The International Criminal Court issued a warrant of arrest for Bashir for his genocide and war crimes but China is not a signatory to the treaty on setting up the International Criminal Court, he noted.
